Thrift Store Goodies

Hello again friends!

I know this post was supposed to be the post I've been wanting to write for a LONG time (like, since last summer) but since I got a chance to go to the thrift store, I figured I would pop this up here first. But next time, I promise PROMISE it's the fun fun post from goodies from last summer.

But, the thrift store had a few Barbie things that I was able to find and I was rather pleased! And.....You will be pleased to know that I was able to ID everything that I got. Which, as you know, is rather hard for me at times! But I feel I'm getting pretty good at the ID's so if you see something here that you have and have not been able to find the origin of, maybe it will help you.

Onto the goodies!

I had to get her.

This is Mrs. Incredible/Elastigirl from the Incredibles 2 line. Elastigirl will hold a special place in my heart. In January 2020 our family took a trip to Disneyland. Elastigirl was the very first character my son met when we were there. I can't handle all the cuteness!

Ahh...pre-pandemic memories. :) Elastigirl doll is missing a hand but it wasn't a deal breaker. I can just position her hand behind her or down by her side and I don't think it will be that noticeable. She has great hair, a little messy but nothing that can't be fixed. And her bodysuit is in great, if not perfect shape.

Next we have a pretty ballerina Barbie. This is the 2016 Fairytale Ballerina Doll in Pink. I'm usually not a fan of molded on clothes but I feel she needed me.

She had that sweet Barbie face and I'm happy with her.

Okay, sorry friends, I lied. This one I have not been able to find yet. She has a purple cotton one shoulder dress. And what seems to be some faint pink streaks in her hair.

She had some great length to her hair so I picked her up too.

A pretty mermaid doll! This is the 2018 Barbie Dreamtopia Rainbow Cove Mermaid.

Unfortunately she is missing the purple fin that goes at the bottom but she is pretty and I loved all her colors.

At first glance I thought this was an Elsa doll but she has freckles which makes her a Rapunzel doll from Tangled. She is a Hasbro doll.

The freckles were just too much! I love them.

Next I found some interesting things in the bin, some heads! So I searched some more and found some bodies. Broken neck pegs but that doesn't matter. I can still use them, especially the old style bodies.

And I just can't pass up that Steffie head mold! Her skin tone wasn't a dead match but it was so close so I popped the head on the doll and brought her home with me.

Another head with no body. And I did happen to find an extra body in another bin. I don't have any other donor bodies here at home so in order for me to get them I have to find a body.

I loved her face and that hair with the braids still intact. I'll have to see if I can fix it up and keep those braids where they are.

FASHIONS!

Not too many clothes were in the bin but I did get a few things.

This is the cape and hat from 2015 Disney Store Exclusive Frozen Anna doll.

Striped shoulder cut-out top from the 2018 Barbie Fashionista #132 in the wheelchair

Top from a 2017 Ken Fashionista #8

I was excited to find this skirt because I've always liked it. From 2019 Barbie Careers - Pop Star.

A pair of mini-wings! This is from the 2011 Barbie A Fairy Secret Quick Snap Mini doll.
The wings are too small to be from a full sized doll.

Red plaid dress with an attached choker. This is from a 2017 Barbie Complete Looks Fashion 2 Pack. Also came with a black leather vest and a T-Shirt with a cat on it with a black and white gingham skirt. It looks like it's stained but I think it was just thick dust as it came out with a quick rinse in water.

This dress did take me a few to ID and its pretty unrecognizable. This is the dress from a 2012 Mattel Disney Sparkling Princess Ariel. Her dress is the only one I could find with the bow on the one sleeve. The top does have some very faint sparkles on it but I'm guessing this was so heavily played with that all the sparkles have fallen off of the top and skirt. It also has ripped at one of the side seams so yeah, this dress has lots of playtime miles I'm guessing. Shame because those sparkles are so pretty.

And lastly, some shoes. The pink one on the far right I think is from a Hasbro doll as it fit the Rapunzel doll perfectly. The purple one is from the Pop Star doll that goes with the holographic skirt. Not sure about the others and the tiara.

And that's all for today! Anyone have the doll in the purple dress or know where it comes from? Or have any of the other dolls or fashions above? Let me know in the comments!

And next time I'll have the super fun post from last summer. Until then!

Ever After High Collection Finale Part 3

Greetings Friends!

Thanks for being patient with me as I work through life with two kids! It's been a challenge for sure but my mom has been here helping me for the past week. It's going to be hard to see her leave for home tomorrow! But with her here and now that the kiddos are in bed, I get a short chance to throw up a post for you all!

Where I left off before I had my little Dean was I was finishing my Ever After High Collection. Since there are no more dolls coming out, I'm purchasing the last few girls before their prices sky rocket. The next one I had to get was this one.

Meeshell Mermaid!

On Amazon they have her listed as Meeshell L'Mer. Not sure why.

I liked Meeshell but at first sight, wasn't too thrilled with her outfit. Even in these photos that I took it doesn't look great but in person it does look better, trust me on this one!

She does come with a little seashell crown and I love the stars and glitter on her face!

She has pink and purple hair. YES! Pink hair! It was very ratty coming out of the box so it got a good brush.

Her bodice is actually true to the webisode version. It's all gold with a little red coral at the top. If I wasn't such a stickler for having my dolls exactly like the webisode characters, I would totally give this one a repaint. She also comes with a cute blue seashell purse.

She also wears a gauntlet of seashells.

Her skirt is unique and has the appearance of scales and fins. The fins are glittery but her skirt is exactly like the one she wears in the webisode. Even with the solid fabric on the back of the skirt!

THE SHOES!

Now these are cool!

These shoes are a pearly white with a seashell on the inside of the heel and a starfish with a string of pearls on the outside. The heel itself is a fish fin and there is a cluster of shells on the inside side of the shoe.

The promo photos show that the fish fin heel is painted blue so I might do that someday. I could also have a lot of fun painting those shells. So much painting potential with this one!

I also got another doll today from my dad. This is the Barbie Careers Pop Star!

www.toysrus.com

This is my first ever curvy Barbie!

I like her face mold and the freckles!

She comes with a pink guitar with a clear purple strap and a shiny aqua dress. The dress is the same fabric all the way around!

She also wears silver heels.

Her hair has really nice curls. It was obviously matted as it came out of the box but because of the hardness of the curls, it seemed easy to shake it out a little and make it look decent. And I love that pink streak!

So friends, what do you think of Meeshell Mermaid and Barbie Pop Star? Do you have these in your collection? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time!
