Finally!

Hey there friends!

It's back! My PC is finally back! And the repair shop was able to save all of my data. Yep, they're rockstars. So all my dolly pics are still intact and I have an external hard drive on the way so everything will be backed up in real time. (MOST of my files were saved on the cloud but there were a few I was really worried about!)

So now that I can get back to blogging, I'd like to show you my other birthday present from my dad.

I present, Lucille Ball!

And when I seen her, I HAD to have her! Being a huge Lucille Ball fan, I have a few other I Love Lucy dolls.

Lucy and Ethel in the candy factory

Kelly as Lucy and Ethel dress up as "Women From Mars"

And Kelly as Lucy and Ethel dress up in Paris gowns.

So when I saw Lucy as part of the Barbie Signature Tribute Collection, I just had to have her!

So gorgeous, they did a wonderful likeness of her

She is holding her script from Desilu Studios. And I am in love with that blue dress!

I like how they didn't put her in standard pumps but shoes with a little more flair.

I also saw that on her left hand is a beautiful Aquamarine ring

That signature red hair with curls (and a crooked earring that will not go back in place even with a stern shake of the box.)

There is a quote from Lucy on the box that reads "I'm not funny. What I am is brave." I love this quote because even though she is known as the Queen of Comedy, many many times she has contributed a lot of her comedy success to her writers (and she has many other talents and successes too.)

The back of the box has a larger picture of the beautiful Lucille Ball and reads, "Lucille Ball (1911-1989) was an American actress whose comedic genius and business acumen secured her status as both a television icon and a trailblazer for women in entertainment. Ignoring naysayers in her hometown of Jamestown NY, Lucy moved to Hollywood, CA in 1933 landing film roles at major studios such as RKO and MGM. Forming Desilu Productions with husband Desi Arnaz, the couple created and starred in I Love Lucy (1951-57), a situation comedy centered on the loving marriage of Lucy and Ricky Ricardo, and Lucy's sidesplitting antics. Together they built Desilu Studios, using their talents to shape the future of television production. Ball became the first woman to run a major film studio when she obtained full ownership of Desliu in 1962. She was inducted into the TV Hall of Fame in 1984 and remains beloved throughout the world, her legendary brilliance enduring to this day. Lucille Ball Barbie is dressed in a dazzling blue dress and white jacket, reminiscent of the '50's fashion era. Her look is complete with silver heels, pearl drop earrings and an aquamarine ring. The Tribute Collection celebrates visionaries whose incredible contributions have helped shape and impact culture."

I can't wait to see who else stars in the Tribute Collection! This doll is also fully articulated however, no made to move body.

And I had to. Just to see what all the fuss was about.

The Barbie Color Reveal Chelsea, Sand and Sun Series. Blind Box (or more like 'blind tube.')

It comes with the doll and accessories.

The doll comes marbled so you can't tell who she is. But you can narrow it down because there are two dolls that have double buns in the hair.

So I filled up the tube with warm water and let her sit and the paint didn't dissolve. You really do have to swish her around in the water.

And she'll need a bath afterwards to get the residue off. Or maybe I didn't swish her around enough.

She came with sunglasses, a little beach cover-up, sandals and a towel. Is she cute? Yeah. $12 cute? Not so much.

And that's all for today! Do you have the Barbie Signature Tribute Collection Lucille Ball Barbie in your collection? Got one of the Color Reveal dolls for funsies? Let me know in the comments!

It's going to take me a hot minute to get to the next post. My dad teased me with this pic.

And I felt like I died and went to dolly heaven. So I've started going through it and I'll put up some posts here and there when I can get some more gone through. :) SO FUN!

Until next time!
