A Little Cutie I Found......

A while back I was cleaning out a box that had a bunch of My Little Ponies in it. And you thought Barbie had a lot of hair!!

Among the ponies I found this little cutie.

This is "Little Rosebud" as she is, well, dressed like a little flower.

She has a little rosebud flower on her hat.

And a dress that looks like petals.

She is so adorable and I could not bear to put her back in a box. But does she have any friends? I'm thinking my parents got her for me back when I was a kid but I don't remember anything about her. Does anyone know?

Project Update!

I cut out the patterns before my sewing machine was out of commission and started putting them together!

I made the patterns larger because I don't get how they get like a 1/8" seam allowance. I like a little more play. If I do need to make them actual size, I can cut them back as shown by the solid line inside of the pins.

I was having trouble attaching the sleeves! Had no idea. If you are having trouble making sleeves, there are some great tutorials you can look up on YouTube.

I most likely won't have another post until after Thanksgiving so to all of you, have a wonderful and safe holiday! Tune in December 1st for our last Haute Couture doll of the month!

Nice pony collection. I thought my sisters have a lot, but looking at those, they have nothing. LOL. Thank you for sharing.

OMG, MLP Invasion.

The rosebud fairy looks so sweet with her perfect little rose dess and hat. I never saw one like her before.

Serious MLP invasion! One of my favourite toys when I was a kid. Them and Rainbow Brite. :)

Yeah, I love the little Rosebud. She is proudly displayed on my shelf. :)

I love that little Rosebud doll, does she have a head stamp? She reminds me of my favourite kind of Skipper, the 1987 sculpt ...

1987 Skipper head mold, my favorite too! I never had a Skipper growing up but this is the mold from my generation so I love picking those up when I can.

Little Rosebud does have a head stamp. It reads "DKP 1984." Her lower back has the same stamp.

There was a movie I LOVED as a child... it was called "rose petal place" i think dont remember when it was made but she could have been something like that, the face is almost reminesciant of strawberry shortcake dolls I had as achild as well.

Hi Tosha,

The face does remind me of Strawberry Shortcake (the older ones anyway!) I have those too. I loved Strawberry Shortcake so maybe that's why I loved Little Rosebud :) Besides the fact that she is the cuteness!

Sorry to be so late to the party here (just stumbled upon your blog today), but had to chime in that Tosha is right- your doll is from the Rose Petal Place line :) I loved them when I was a kid. And yes, there were lots of little friends! Each one a different flower. Just adorable.

Hi Keri! Thanks for stopping by!

I just checked out "Rose Petal Place" toys. Now I remember more of them! I saw a picture of the box she came in and vaguely remember. The memory is hazy but it's still there nontheless.

Thanks for chiming in and helping me identify this cute little doll :)
