NIB Collection Additions, part 2

Hello Again!

Thanks to Andrea I now have an ID for the purple hair doll I found at the thrift store. She is the 2008 Totally Nails Teresa Doll. With her original pants!

www.amazon.com

OK. Time to find that top, stat! Love! So I read a little about her and it said that her nails change color in icy water. Nope. Mine didn't. I read a few reviews that said that their dolls nails didn't change either. ALso looking I saw that they changed the face as well. Some pictures of this doll have a non-tooth smile Teresa. Don't know if those are just promo pictures or what. Anyway, I still love her and her purple hair.

And check out the Totally Nails Barbie! That watermelon outfit? Wouldn't it look so cute on the Princess Merliah I just got? I know she has a molded on bikini but it wouldn't show underneath, right? :)

Okay, on to the rest of the NIB dolls!

First up we have the 1994 Baywatch Barbie!

I saw this one and I started laughing because it's just so Baywatch perfect. But instead of saving people, she saves her dolphin friend which is included. And she's got that perfectly California tanned skin.

In addition to the outfit she is wearing, she also comes with a bathing suit and visor.

The back of the box reads: " 'Look! A dolphin's in trouble!' shouts Barbie. Ken jumps on his WaveRunner and races to the rescue of the dolphin. 'Look! She's so happy!' exclaims Barbie, petting the dolphin. 'I think we've got a new friend!'"

That's so cute. And I think Baywatch Ken comes with that WaveRunner too.

But look at the bottom left

Now THAT is classic Baywatch. The Hoff and Pamela Anderson!

Now we move on to the 2001 (or 2002) Barbie as Daphne Scooby-Doo doll! With plush Scooby!

I love the color of her hair.

Daphne carries a flashlight and a purse on one hand and a laptop under her arm. Scooby is so cute.

The back of the box reads:"Scooby-Doo, Where are you? 'Ruh-Roh!' Scooby-Doo and his friend Daphne need your help tracking down the big clue. Pick up their sleuthy tools and don't forget the Scooby Snacks! Pretend that Shaggy, Fred and Velma are waiting in the Mystery Machine. Join the kids for a groovy adventure you'll never forget. Don't miss Scooby-Doo in an all-new, live-action movie as Mystery Inc. is reunited on Spooky Island to solve their biggest mystery yet!"

Did anyone else grow up watching that show? The show came out when my parents were teens but I did grow up watching the reruns! It's a fun show, I might have to introduce my son to them soon. And, maybe for my own nostalgia. :)

The last beauty we are going to feature today is a special Target doll. This is the 1998 Club Wedd Barbie!

There are a few different Club Wedd dolls that came out so I had to make sure I got the right year.

Club Wedd is the wedding registry at Target. I guess they wanted to make a doll to promote the registry service? Not sure why but she is a pretty girl. Very beautiful lace upper with pink ribbons around the waist.

She has white gloves that come to the wrist and a small rose bouquet.

Her skirt is covered in tulle which gives it a magical, soft look.

The back of the box has an invitation that read "Join us on our wedding day dear friends, as guests by our side. With love and wishes always, from the groom and from the bride. Barbie and Ken." There are also place cards for Barbie, Ken, Skipper, and Kelly. (No Alan as Best Man?) It also reads: Dear real-life brides and fiances, Club Wedd Barbie doll can be a part of any dream-come-true wedding! The perfect centerpiece for a wedding shower or wedding party. Fantastic gifts for the flower girl or wedding attendants. Something new for the bride." Ok, so that is cute. I got my flower girl a gift. She was two and needed some distraction while people were mulling about. A new baby doll and some colors and coloring books were great.

At this point, I don't think I am going to take any of them out of the box. I might get the itch later but for now, I'm going to keep them put. Their boxes are in great condition so that was a factor I thought of.

Well, that is all for today! Have any of these beauties found their way into your collection? Let me know in the comments!

I have the bug! The CRAFTING bug! I made a couple of things and I'll also show you some things that I'm planning on making. ALSO! While I was looking for a top for Miss Totally Nails Teresa, I ran across some dolls that dad got for me that I haven't featured!

Stay tuned!

I really like the face on the Club Wedd lass.
It reminds me of Melissa Sue Anderson (Mary on the LHOP tv series)
I so remember the original Baywatch. I didn't watch much of it. I was a young mom then and very busy!
I was more a Waltons fan that anything though! It ended the year before I graduated high school.

She does have a resembelance to Melissa Sue Anderson! I was big into LHOTP. I think the made a Barbie Laura? I also remember The Waltons. We never watched it but it was ALWAYS on when we went to my Grandma's house. :)

I don't know if they made a Laura but the Pioneer Barbie reminds me of her a little.
