Barbie's Tiny Foods

 Hi Friends!

I was going to do another Star Wars x Barbie post for today so I could finish up the series but had something else adorable to show you first.

When I was at my dad's house a couple of weekends ago, I was doing laundry and found a bucket of adorable little miniatures.

Shopkins! And Hatchimals! Thinking they would be fun for my son to play with I scooped them up and took them home with me. And he does LOVE them. So much we had to build a "Shopkins House" so he could display all of them.

Honestly, I never got into Shopkins because I don't buy into the surprise box gimmick. Getting doubles of somthing to get you to buy more just doesn't appeal to me. UNTIL they came out with the "Real Littles" which are real brands with a Shopkin inside.

So, when I was at Target the other day, I caved and bought some.

I love the jelly. I know they have faces but how cute are they? I even got the ultra rare Snack Pack pudding with TWO shopkins inside.

But where to display them? On my shelf with the myriad of dolls I have there? Then I remembered I had something tucked away just waiting for a chance to be used.

The Barbie Sweet Roses Refrigerator/Freezer. My parents got this for me for a whole $1 at a garage sale when I was in my tween years. (They also got me the Sweet Roses Cooking Center, for another post!) Still into Barbie but starting to get out of it a little so it stayed tucked away. It was in sad shape and came with only a few accessories.

I think the only pieces that came with the set originally is the egg carton and the pink fridge drawers. I love the soda and french fries!

It needed a little fixing up, a wipe down and the lineal roses stickers were stuck to the hinge side instead of the handle side so those needed to come off.

Then all the tiny foods went inside!

The freezer

And the Fridge

We also put some of the food themed Shopkins in the door but how cute is this? I know that the Real Littles are a little big for Barbie, a 1/6th scale doll but I don't care. They are so cute. I've also added a few more Real Littles since my Target excursion.

I went to Dollar Tree to find some stickers for my son's Shopkins house and found some adorable Fruits of the Spirit stickers and decorated the front a little. I couldn't resist these adorable fruits with faces. Like the Shopkins!

I put the actual worded Fruits of the Spirit on the side. If you don't know the Fruits are from the Bible and are: love, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, peace, joy and self-control. But I could not resist the fruit stickers, so cute.

And I let my son decorate the other side. Sticker overload!

I think it is so cute and gave an adorable use for a Barbie item that was not otherwise used. So nice to put new life into an old item. Even though the doors keep falling off this fridge because the tabs to keep it into place have broken (not by me, it's all good. Still fun anyway!

These are my favorites though. :)

Other Dollar Tree finds? Mini Barbies! Chef, Ballerina, Pop Star, Astronaut, Soccer and Baseball Barbies. These definitely went up on the shelf.

Also on my shelf is Miss Executive Lunch. I had to kind of cram her up there. Maybe I need to rearrange a little and find nice spaces for these beauties.

Well, that's all for today! Do you love Shopkins as much as I do? Collect any other toys besides Barbies? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time!

Barbie Executive Lunch

Welcome Friends!

A short sweet post for today!

Recently my dad acquired this for me.

He said "I wasn't sure if you had it or not." I mentioned that I did. And then he said...."sorry."

SORRY?!?!

Oh no no no. Don't be sorry! Because I have two, it means I can put one on a doll!

Hmmm.....which doll to put this one. I didn't want to just pick any random doll but needed to be one with class and elegance!

Remember her?

The beautiful Birthstone Beauty Miss Pearl. I got her a long long time ago and she's just been sitting in a box. Her dress didn't stay up, missing the bolero jacket and was kind of a mess. She needed a makeover. We had to put that Steffie head mold on display right? And the way she was standing just made her the perfect candidate for Executive Lunch. So into the spa she went.

Ready for the new and improved Miss Pearl?

She looks absolutely stunning in this outfit. It's so perfect for her!

Her hair is a little bumpy but I loved those ringlet curls on her left side so I didn't want to use too much hot water to rinse the shampoo out of her hair. Which unfortunately left the other parts of the hair bumpy. I loved that the pearl earrings matched the pearls on the jacket!

There was a necklace included in the set but I didn't want to pull her head off to get her current necklace off. It matches so I left it. It looks good!

The hand on the hip is perfect for holding her bag in place. However it still kept slipping off her shoulder so I had to put a pin in the back to keep it on her shoulder.

I love that her nail polish was mostly intact when I got her. I did add the bracelet that came with the set and it just adds that little something to the outfit.

Now the shoes. I'm not sure if it's the doll or what but I could NOT get the shoes on her that were included with the set. Maybe it's because of the pantyhose? I'm not sure. The pantyhose doesn't create that much bulk so I don't know. But I did find these open toe heels with a little detail and they match perfectly. I had to remember not to go too glam as this is an Executive Lunch!

Well friends, that's all for today! What do you think of Miss Pearl? Have any special fashions you recently put on a doll? Let me know in the comments!

See you next time dolly friends!

Star Wars x Barbie #4

Welcome Friends!

I hope your summer is going splendid. We FINALLY got some hot weather which was desperately needed to pump my zucchini and raspberry production into high gear. Bumper crop for sure!

But during those SUPER hot days where I want to stay in the nice cool house I've still been working on the great Barbie clothing identification. It's a long slow job but I've identified more than I could have bargained for. So that's a good thing.

But today, we are talking about more Star Wars x Barbie! There was the first wave with the Princess Leia, R2D2 and Darth Vader. THEN they came out with a second wave and I absolutely DIED when I saw them.

These dolls are also purchased with the inheritance from my sweet aunt who passed from cancer the beginning of March. And I cannot thank her enough.

Second wave also came out with three dolls and one doll that was a Mattel.com exclusive. So I preorded them from Mattel and got a slight discount ordering them as a package.

Without further ado, I present Storm Trooper x Barbie!

That hair. Those glasses. And those BOOTS! She is exactly how I would imagine a Storm Trooper Fashionable Barbie would be!
Like Darth Vader, I want to see this girl's eyes! But no taking her out of the box so there they would stay. And you can tell that hair is "Holiday Barbie Hard."
But look at that bodice! That jacket with those sleeves and then the plastic corset that gives her a robotic look.
She also wears gauntlets that partially cover the hands.
Now those boots! One boot covers the knee and they have different details at the top. If you take a look at a storm trooper they have boots that are similar to this design so good job on Robert Best for making that shine through on the doll.
The inside of the box left features concept art of a Storm Trooper
And inside box right features concept art of the doll.
The fun quote on the side of the box features the Galactic Empire logo and a quote that says "We don't need to see his identification."
This quote is from Episode IV: A New Hope. The conversation is between Obi-Wan Ben Kenobi, Luke Skywalker and a Storm Trooper

TROOPER: How long have you had these droids?

LUKE: About three or four seasons.

BEN: They’re for sale if you want them.

TROOPER: Let me see your identification.

BEN: You don’t need to see his identification.

TROOPER: We don’t need to see his identification.

BEN: These are not the droids your looking for.

TROOPER: These are not the droids we’re looking for.

BEN: He can go about his business.

TROOPER: You can go about your business.

And they even had a picture of the doll without the glasses. Oh how I wish I could see her eyes from in the box. I think the glasses on the head is a better look for her. And it's a little hard to see from in the box but the underside of her hair is blue. Nice detail!

Storm Trooper Barbie is a gold label doll with only 20,000 dolls made worldwide.

Well that's it for today. What do you think of Storm Trooper x Barbie? Is she being added to your collection?

I'll have another one in a few days. Until then!
