Giftages 2019 - Post 5

Warm Greetings!

Has the rain been getting you down? The rain has been a little depressing although I will admit that the pouring rain on the roof does have a soothing effect. We don't often get that hard driving rain but it was nice today.

But how about a nice clothing haul to brighten things up! We love Barbie's wardrobe and these selections are no exception!

Let's get to it! First are the vintage clothes that were marked.

Anyone recognize this one? All Barbie and Friends were dressed in a swimsuit. This one is from the first Francie! The Bendable Leg Francie from 1966.

One of the not-so-vintage, Sunsational Malibu PJ swimsuit.

Oh my heart. This is the Satin Bolero jacket with the silver glitter dots from 1963. Very very poor condition, the hems would need to be completely redone. Sleeves are doable, bottom of the jacket, not so much. Luckily I have a pristine one on my Sandi doll.

This is the 1962 Fashion Pak Belle Dress in Orange.

Don't get too excited! This is the reproduction of Barbie's original swimsuit. Nontheless, I'm glad to have it!

Purse Pak from 1962. Contains the purse from Red Flare, a black vinyl clutch and a shopping bag filled with flowers (unlike Surburban Shopper whose bag is filled with groceries.)

This is the one shoulder top from the Satin 'n Rose set from 1964. This ensemble was made up entirely of pieces from the 1963 Fashion Packs. How do you tell which came from which set? In the fashion packs, each item had a tag. If it's from the set, only the jacket has the tag. This does not have the tag so it is from Satin 'n Rose.

Oh it would have been nice to have this for my Sandi doll! It's the only piece from that set that I'm missing but in poor condition. One shoulder top from the Satin Fashion Pak 1963.

1962 Fashion Pak Gathered Skirt in Orange

1962 Fashion Pak Sheath Skirt in Orange

These are some mod era Barbie Pants from New Teen Fashions for Barbie and Friends, Cool Casuals 1970.

One of the only pictures I could find of the complete outfit! There is one listed on eBay for $60. Must be a pretty popular one? It is pretty cute. :)

www.pinterest.com.au/Christelle MORA
The Ruffles 'n Lace Fashion Pak from 1964. This also came with accessories of a brush, comb and mirror.

Black and White slacks fashion pak from 1962

Not so vintage Paint 'n Dazzle Barbie top - 1993. I have her! (unpainted)

Another gathered skirt fashion pak in Orange!

And here in pink!

Two 1962 Helenca Swimsuits in black. The Fashion Pak also came with sunglasses and cork wedgies. The red suit came on all Bubblecut dolls so the black (and navy) suits are rare and hard to find. And I have two!

Finishing Touches Shoes and Bags from 1982. Not a complete set but not bad! Love those boots. They are the ones that say Barbie on the side and came with my Lights 'n Lace Barbie (only hers are pink.)

And I got a nice little collection of Skipper fashions!

Dramatic Living Skipper swimsuit from 1970.

The Skipper Fashion Collectibles Lingerie Set #2808. Also came with a bra, panties and camisole.

This is such a cute dress! Red Sensation from 1964. It matches Barbie's Sheath Sensation dress. Also comes with hat, gloves, socks and red shoes.

The original Skipper Swimsuit!

More Fashion Collectibles from 1979! This is #2807 and also came with a light pink tank with the same trim and a small white hip bag. It's really cute!

This is from a Skipper Fashion Pack from 1969 called Jeepers Creepers. Also came with blue striped pedal pushers, blue flats, a sunvisor with scarf, sunglasses and a ball. I'd love to have the whole set but not sure about that name! haha

This is too cute. Dog Show from 1966. It came with a pink pleated skirt and an actual dog! What a treat it would be to have that!

1965 Outdoor Casuals Sweater. I love this! I wish I had the other pieces. Slacks, dickey, shoes, gloves and a little red yo-yo.

1970 Fancy Pants. And the pants that came with this are just as ruffled as the shirt. There was light blue shorts, shoes and a bright pink vinyl purse with daisies on it. So mod!

Jumper from Right in Style - 1967

Top from 1972 Red, White and Blues. This outfit also came with blue shorts, red knee highs and a heart print ruffle dress.

I'm going to have to look through my stash and see if I have some Skipper dolls I can pop some of these outfits on! They are really cute! (Note: I do...somewhere)

So friends, have any of these Barbie or Skipper outfits? Have the Bendable Leg Francie? Let me know in the comments below! I desperately want a Francie doll by the way. Maybe someday!

Next post coming soon with more fabulous fashions! See you next time!

Giftages 2019 - Post 4

Hi Friends!

Are we all staying busy during this quarantine? Not going to lie, I've been feeling a little like this girl!

www.shopdisney.com
It was time to do ALL the laundry, organize the pantry, organize the toys, mop the floor, clean the fingerprints off the TV and hubby did some yard work. Phew! But in between those tasks I've been having some fun playing with Barbie. I can't wait to show you the fashion show. It's going to be great! But before we have the fashion show, we need to feature the new additions to my growing Barbie collection! And, all vintage of course!

But check out this fabulously vintage doll case! I just love it!

OOPS!

It has two pockets on the lid perfect for holding all kinds of dolly goodies.

Now for the girls!

My dad picked this one up at a flea market. What a score!

This is an absolutely beautiful Titian #7 Ponytail doll. My first one with that color!

Her bangs are near perfect but her hair has started to frizz and fuzz from play. That's okay, i'm sure I can fix it up real good.

Not a lot of nail polish left on her right hand

And it's starting to come off of her left hand.

Toe nail polish coming off too. Not surprising honestly.

She is wearing the coat from It's Cold Outside #819. Mine is missing the hat and the belt but it's an outfit I didn't have!

An absolutely perfect blonde reproduction doll. I don't mind...vintage bodies!

Her ponytail has been well taken care of and has a nice curl at the end.

Such a pretty face. That red lip and those pearl earrings.

She is wearing the Scoopneck Playsuit Pak from 1962-63.

This beautiful brunette bubblecut!

Her face paint is in excellent condition! And her hair too for that matter!

I adore this outfit! She is wearing the Plain Blouse Fashion Pak from 1962-1963 and the Short Skirt Knit Fashion Pak from 1963. The blouse came with a hot pink purse and the skirt came with a matching sash with fringe (it kind of looked like a scarf) and a pair of glitter cat eye sunglasses. What a treasure it would have been to have those, especially the sunglasses!

What do I see on this last doll?

PJ! But sadly, this not a PJ doll. Just a Sunset Malibu Barbie wearing the Talking PJ dress. SO mod!

Lip color is a little smeared but that's okay! She's so beautiful. I love this style of mod doll.

As shown in the picture above, the hem is coming out of the neckline and there is some odd stitching on her left sleeve. The rest of the dress seems to be in good shape. I love those bell sleeves!

Well that's it for today! I'll have some fun fashions coming up in the next post. I seem to be getting a lot of bubblecut dolls. Were there more bubblecut dolls made than ponytail? I'm not complaining by any means! I love vintage no matter what hairstyle!

Do you have any of these fashions? Or the Sunset Malibu Barbie? Or maybe Talking PJ? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time!
