Our main guy Ken is 60 years old today! Mattel has come out with a fabulous Silkstone reproduction doll of the original Ken. He is $50 USD on the Mattel website. Pick one up before they are sold out!
It's interesting that the Ken male aesthetic seems to have swung around some. Moving into the 80s, Ken became bulkier in size, and now thinner Kens are being sold again. Plus, some of the modern guys have short haircuts, unlike 80s Kens full hairstyle.
Hey Barb! I've noticed that too. Some of my vintage Ken fashions won't fit the 80's dolls I have! And all the hairstyles! I just wish they would root Ken's hair.
