Notice Anything?

Welcome!

Sorry for the delay. Things have been hectic as of late. It's been crazy actually! Also been having fun playing with my little babes. He's 6 months already. Can you believe it?

So, here is a picture of my doll shelf. Notice anything? (Besides the pile of laundry on the table :)

Not seeing it? Let me zoom in a little closer.

Now do you see it?

Yep, there HE is!

Among my fabulous Wonderlandians is the newest member of my EAH clan and he is THE ultimate Wonderlandian.

Alistair Wonderland! Son of Alice in Wonderland!

The box says "Son of Alice." I guess "Alice in Wonderland" is kind of redundant. But I walked into my local Target to grab some baby essentials and as always, I cruse through the doll aisle. I saw a Faybelle Thorn doll for $15. Then I looked behind her and I saw Alistair and Bunny Blanc. Choices choices....but there needs to be more men so in the group so I chose him!

Hubby gave me the raised eyebrow look when I walked back to the car with him. I told him it was cheaper than I get them on Amazon, I had a 10% off coupon plus a gift card to use. He said they have me hooked. I admit, they do!

Alistair is your typical male EAH doll meaning they all have "Holiday Barbie Hard" hair. Not sure what is up with that so I thought about washing it. But the style holds true to his webisode counterpart so that's good. I like his look!

He wears an overshirt that has swirls on it. The undershirt and overshirt are sewn together with a velcro up the back.

My husband commented on his little canteen. It's cute and a different twist on the bag or packs that came with the other two male dolls. Alistair is the ultimate explorer so he has a little compass on his canteen to help him get around!

As always, Mattel did a number with these shoes. They are so perfect I just can't even describe. Buckles, buttons up the side and wing tips fit him and look perfect with this outift.

So much detail!

I like his hair. I really do. But what made me laugh is that his pants are capri length. But it does make it easier for us to put his boots on!

So as I mentioned I'm torn about whether or not to wash his hair since the style does match webisode Alistair. But there is one gal who I wanted to restyle.

Poppy O'Hair.

She also had "Holiday Barbie Hard" hair. Not sure why but this is what it looked like.

Not really liking this "fake" look. So I gave her a fabulous shampoo.

How do you feel now Poppy?

I am impressed! It is so much shiner without all that goop in it. I also brushed it out and trimmed up some stray ends. I might fix up the front of the purple part, it still looks a little wonky to me. But it's fine for now.

So pretty!

Poppy with her sister Holly. I think I might give Holly a boil dip to tame those stray ends but that's for another day.

Well, that's it for today. Do you want to add Alistair to your collection? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time!

My new acquisitons and something special

Good Afternoon! (or Morning or Evening where ever you may be in the world) :)

Finally I get a free moment to shoot out a post!

As mentioned in the last mini-post, we've been in the process of moving and it's taken me a while to figure out where everything is. Also because I was watching the baby, I had my mother-in-law and niece packing for me so unfortuatnlely it took extra long to figure out what was in which boxes!

FINALLY got it all done. Moving is such hard (and stressful) work!

I love the house we are in now. (Just a rental until our new one is built.) Naturally I had to set up some dollys! Most from my former shelf are carefully packed away but had to set up my newest loves.

And the guest bedroom is just PERFECT for them!

One thing I like about old houses. They contain details that might not be found in a newer home. Like this built in bookcase. Perfect for my ever-growing EAH collection!

The most beautiful Apple, Briar, Dexter and his love Raven, and Cupid

Cedar, Blondie and my three awesome Wonderlandians: Kitty, Lizzie and Maddie.

The fabulous Cerise, Duchess, Ashlynn and her love Hunter, and the sweet sisters Holly and Poppy.

And on the end my two newest: Ginger and Darling.

On the bottom we have the most beautiful Thronecoming collection. Apple, Raven, Briar

And then we have Blondie and Cupid. As always, Enchanted Evening Barbie is also there because she's my favorite. (My mom had the original but my psycho aunt stole it from my grandmas house and sold it in her garage sale. Will NEVER let that one go.) *rant over* :)

In the middle we have a collection that I have not featured on my blog before. This is my "something special" that I mentioned in the subject. My Lord of the Rings Coronation Gift Pack. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lord of the Rings. It's my favorite books and movies of all time. So when I saw these action figures manufactured by Toy Biz, I wanted them. Because I have the best parents I received them for Christmas quite a few years ago.

I love the detail however the faces of the girls could be a little less "old" I guess you could say. They didn't make Eowyn and Arwen as youthful as they look in the movies.

Here we have Faramir (BE STILL MY HEART) and Lady Eowyn.

Next King Aragorn and Queen Arwen.

And Lastly, Eomer, King of the Riddermark (from Rohan.)

I just love the detail on these figures. They are really accurate and that's one of the reasons why I wanted them.

Alright, on to the newest members of the Barbie family!

This one is easy. :)

This is Viveca from Barbie and the Three Musketeers. Surprisingly she still has her crown/mask. You may recall from a long time ago, I picked up Corinne and Aramina also at the thrift store. Now I have all 3! I have a full outfit Corinne (Barbie) and a partial outfit for Aramina. I may have to buy them on eBay. It's fun to have them all now!

This one is a generic new body doll with a handmade dress. I don't think the entire dress is handmade but I know the lace on the front is. It's kind of haphazardly sewn on. Kind of pretty though!

Next this super sweet girl. And she still smells like strawberries! I just love her! I thought she might be one of the Beach Sweetie dolls but couldn't find one that had this outfit. Anyone know who she is?

Next we have this beautie. Mackie head mold? Yes please!

This is one of the 2004 Zodiac Dolls. This is Aquarius. Her dress seems to be a little faded and her earrings are mostly missing but her emblem on the dress is intact so that's a plus. For $1.00 I couldn't pass it up!

Unfortunately her eye is a little wonky too. Boo. But I love the Mackie molds, they are my favorite.

I have this girl NIB.

And lastly, I bought this. Also for $1.00 I couldn't pass it up.

It's the Barbie B-Book Computer! Works good and has fun word and math games for a child.

Well, that's all for today. Have you made any purchases lately? My hubby put the kabosh on my doll spending. Maybe I can talk him into one here soon. There are a ton of EAH dolls I need to catch up on! :)

Until next time!

Coming Soon!

Greetings fellow dolly lovers!

I have been absent for a short while. We just sold our house and were (are) in the process of moving. It took me a while to un-earth my computer from the hoard.

That also hasn't stopped me from my dolly quests and acquisitions! I have a few more to show you but it won't be till I feel that my house is somewhat in order. I have a feeling you will like them.

Stay tuned!

A Very Special Item for Barbie!

Greetings!

Last time I mentioned that I have a very special item for Barbie.

I went to my local Fred Meyer (or Kroger depending which side of the country you live on) and they had a super huge sale on MH, EAH, and Barbie stuff. The Lizzie Hearts Spring Unsprung playset was down to $20. Had I been collecting that line I would have snagged it but I'm saving my money for the Way Too Wonderland line. :)

I have a kayak. I love it but unfortunately I have not had a chance to go in a while. (Pregnant last summer, baby this summer...)

I've been dying to get it out again. But while at the Barbie sale, I spotted this item. If I can't go, Barbie sure can!

The "Let's Go Kayak!" playset. At $5, this was not a deal I could pass up!

She comes with the kayak, paddle, life vest, MP3 player, water bottle, and sunglasses.

The water bottle is very cute. You put on the decal. It has a charm of the iconic Barbie head!

Here is the MP3 player, life vest and sunglasses. That tiny sticker you put on the MP3 player was a little tricky. But I did okay.

I used the Fashionista from my last post as the kayak model. Don't use a doll that has perfect hair for your kayaker. The life vest got stuck on her head and I had to rotate a little to get it on.

Now I was a little unsure of the fit of this rubber molded life vest. I do have to say it worked pretty well! It fits good and the tabs on the side do work on keeping it on.

She's ready to go have some fun!

The kayak opens up and fits the doll just perfectly.

Here she is, all ready to start her adventure

Fits her good!

There are other "Let's Go" playsets such as Windsurf, Bike, and Jetski.

Do you have any of these playsets? What do you think of the Kayak? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time!

Garage Sale Finds

Greetings!

As promised last time, here are the fabulous finds that my dad picked up for me at some garage sales! I think they're pretty cool and I hope you do as well!

First, Sun Jewel Teresa!

How this Teresa came really hits close to home. For me as a child, when a doll did not have a place in a case, it went back into it's box with all it's accessories. So to get a doll that has her original opened box is really a treasure. And by looking at the back of the box with a picture of the doll, this was not her original outfit.

Ah, there it is. Anyone know what outfit she is wearing? She also came with her brush and a pair of white sneakers.

Unfortunately she has a dirty nose. I'll have to see if it will come off easily or if I have to bust out the Clearasil cream for this one. But she is so pretty and in really great shape.

Next we have just randoms.

A pretty Barbie in a homemade dress. I think it's really cute! Her hair may need a boil dip to tame it.

Next, a pretty Belle doll who is in major need of a hair makeover.

I knew who this one was as soon as I grabbed her out of the bag.

Remember all the controversy this one caused quite a few years ago? Because GOD FORBID we teach young girls that tattoos are okay!

I don't know what your take is but how many children go around wearing temporary tattoos? This is nothing different. I absolutely love Butterfly Art Teresa and think she's a beautiful doll. And I'm sure I have a denim skirt somewhere that I can put with her to make her original!

I also have this one NIB. Back in 1998 the dolls were recalled so I think this one might be hot someday. I love her.

How unfortunate.

This sweet girl is missing a foot! She is a 2010 Sparkle Lights Princess. She is such a cutie, wish she had the other foot!

She still works too!

Guessing by the outfit on this one, she is some kind of horseback rider doll. She has articulated knees.

A fully articulated Raquelle? I can't keep up with the names of the Fashionistas.

An Aurora doll that needs a HUGE makeover! Poor thing.

And lastly, my favorite of the bunch. This absolutely gorgeous Kira doll.

She is just beautiful! Anyone know which one she is or where her dress is from?

And that's all for me today! What do you think of my new finds? Let me know in the comments!

Next time I have a very special item that I picked up for Barbie. Stay tuned!
