May is here and it's time for another post from the Year of Haute Couture Calendar! As you all know by now, all these designs are by the absolute master of Haute Couture, Robert Best! Ready for our newest doll?

May - Champagne Evening Gown Barbie

Wow! Haute Couture for sure! Barbie sure has a lot of fashions but Champagne is not one we see a lot of I think. Barbie can be as dramatic as red or as subtle as baby pink but this is a color we don't see a lot of. The only dress that I can remember that was close to this color was Celebration 2000 Barbie and she had more of a gold dress than a champagne.

I love how Robert styled this top. It's doesn't seem to be a form fitting top but more of a loose one? It looks like the skirt and top are separate. Very interesting style!

Well friends, I regret to inform you that I cannot find this doll anywhere. :( If someone has a picture of this beautiful doll, please post a link in the comments!

Holy Moly! She is gorgeous!!! I love the gray flowers on the front and that red hair? Beautiful! This color really looks good on Barbie. But then, any color looks good on Barbie! I also love how feminine it is. The ruffles and gems on the front add a nice touch. And I have always liked dresses that have a train in the back. It allows for full viewing of the cutest shoes!

Okay, so they called it pale yellow. But to me it looks champagne. :)
