Birthday Surprises

Hello again!

Today I am here to bring you some awesome goodies that I got for my birthday. And I just got around to taking pictures of them now...because life....and trying to decorate for Christmas!

I received some birthday money from my mom. I told her I wanted another Hairdorable doll but she wanted me to choose it because she didn't want to buy me the wrong one. She really can't because they are a surprise doll, lol.

But I did get one and am really excited by the one I got.

I got another Neila!

This is Moonlit Neila and this is her signature look.

I just LOVE her little alien print dress and her Saturn heart handbag .

Her accessory is a shooting star hair clip with curly pink hair attached.

The tight curls seem out of place. I might try to style it like the promo pictures.

But here are my two adorable Neila's, Shooting Star Neila and Moonlit Neila. They are so cute.

While I was out shopping I took a cruise through the clearance and found these awesome girls!

The Barbie TV News Team! This was a whopping $5. I can't pass that up for two dolls!

The doll on the left is the camera woman and is so cute. She has freckles!

She is wearing a simple blue blouse and jeans. She has articulated arms so she can hold her camera! Not sure about the knees. Let's hope so!

She also wears brown short boots.

The girl on the right is the news anchor and is a beautiful curvy doll!

She has a pink dress and blue jewelry. Almost looks like a herringbone pattern.

She holds a microphone but unfortunately does not have articulated arms so the microphone can't be held to her mouth. I think this set was toward the beginning of the body type dolls, maybe they didn't have articulated curvy dolls yet.

She wears nude heels.

Now, for the star of the post. One last birthday gift from my dad.

Here is the 1979 Pretty Changes Barbie!

Oh my goodness, how fabulous is she? Don't you love these dolls from the Superstar Era?

And she comes with wigs! Don't you love wigs? I do. You can add a hat, change to a long blonde fall, a brunette fall and she is already in the blonde short.

You will be pleased to know that this box is friendly so I have boxed but deboxed photos!

Just beautiful.

Here is a picture of the wigs. They are individually wrapped. Oh how I wish I could take her out and dress her up!

Love this outfit. The dress with the pants underneath. So 70's.

She comes with all her accessories including a necklace and barrette.

She also still had the instruction manual and the doll stand. Love that it's shaped like a star!

And the form to join the Barbie Fan Club. For only $5! Think they'll still let me join?

This Barbie World of Fashion book has a lot of dolls in it!

I also giggled when I saw this Ken doll. Hanes makes Ken feel good all under! HA!

The back of the box showcases all of Barbie's looks. The rose choker can be used as a belt or a headband and the blond short hair can be flipped forwards or backwards! And she can go from Disco to Dressy. Love it. Included with the wigs is the overblouse so that is where she gets her long sleeves from. Also there is no fringe on the bust of her bodysuit. Maybe a design change late in production.

But anyway I just love her!

So friends, do you have Pretty Changes in your collection? Any wonderful clearance finds lately? Let me know in the comments!

This will be my last post before Christmas so I wish you all a wonderful Christmas season to you and yours! And may all your dolly wishes come true!
