The Wardrobe Expands! Part 2

Welcome to part two of my wardrobe fest! There are a few gems in here I'm really excited about so I'll mention those when we get to them.

I'm not sure if all of them are genuine Barbie fashions but if you know where they came from, I'd love the ID's!

Here are some tops. The one on the left has an asymmetrical hem and a star on the left side. We know the blue one on the right is a Genuine Barbie fashion :)

A few more tops. A yellow halter top, a brown and aqua sleeveless and a flannel long sleeve. It's so soft and cozy, maybe I should pick myself up a flannel button down.

A couple of jackets. I'm not sure if these are Barbie sized. If not Barbie then definitely Skipper.

Some really fun pants! I pair of teal pleather capris, a pair of white satin capris and two pairs of PJ pants, pink stripe jersey cotton and green heart flannel.

Two dresses with attached belt. The one on the left is in pretty good condition with the fabric not snagged at all. The one on the right has some fray.

Two skirts. The denim one is completely open in back. Barbie better be careful when she wears that one!

I know I've seen this swimsuit before but I can't seem to find it on google. And then another bikini bottom. I might have a top that would go well with that somewhere in the depths of my doll stash.

Okay, and these two things I am SUPER stoked about. These are clothes to fit the little Kelly dolls!

Do you know how extremely hard it is to find clothes for Kelly dolls? The only ones I can find online are usually handmade and the Genuine Barbie ones on eBay are going for such high prices. And if you look at Kelly dolls in the stores now, most don't have real clothes! They have a molded top and then the bottoms are actual cloth. What gives with that! No wonder Kelly clothes are in demand.

The dress is not Genuine Barbie but i'm sure it would fit a Kelly. Or maybe not! Looks kind of small in comparison to the top. The blue top is Genuine Barbie and has a T on it. It took me a minute to figure out that it's probably T for Tommy. Which I have a naked one so now I have a shirt for him!

There were also some accessories in the bag. A faux fur scarf, a movie clacker, microphones and an iPod that has a picture of Hannah Montana on it.

So I was sure that some of the clothes were from Hannah Montana so this is what I came up with.

www.ebay.com

So I know I few of the items above came from this Secret Celebrity Pop Star doll but I was unable to find which doll the clacker and the iPod came from.

And shoes! We love complete pairs of shoes. Here's the boots.

I've been needing a pair of cowboy boots and I love the black stiletto boots. I have some other yellow boots so those are meh.

And the shoes! I guess the black and silver could be classified as boots too. The little green ones might be for Kelly!

I just want to say how glad I am that Barbie has started coming out with some fancy shoes! I love the classic pumps but I do love the fun shoes that Monster High and Ever After High have. I'm glad Barbie has some fun shoes too.

And some randoms. I'll have to check my missing shoe bag to see if I have mates for those. I'm thinking no but you never know!

And, along with the Barbie clothes, there was also a small bag of Ken clothes too! Not that I have a whole ton of Ken but it's nice he gets a little bit of a wardrobe too.

I put them together in outfits that I thought looked good together. Here are a couple of shirt and shorts combos.

And then I found this. Beach Fun Ken. (Makes sense since his shirt says "Beach Fun.") Not the right shorts but oh well. I think I have some like this that would work.

www.mattel.com

Shirt, pants, a jacket and a backpack.

The jacket is a bomber jacket. Love that.

Some random shirts. I like the blue striped polo.

In searching I also found this picture. Okay, so the blue shorts I put with the beach fun shirt go with the green one above. Beach Glam Ken.

And then we have some Ken shoes too! Complete pairs! And a nice plastic fedora.

And now this.

More little clothes! For my Tommy doll! But these look about the same size as the dress, maybe too small for Tommy. The shirt has a tag.

I searched for Happy Family and I think this is the family (spin-off doll line) of Midge and Alan. Here's Alan and Ryan in the outfit!

www.manbehindthedoll.com
That is so cute. So maybe the clothes will fit Tommy! Can anyone confirm?

That's all for the clothes. I got some great stuff!

Do any of you have these clothes or know which dolls they came from? Anyone have any of the Happy Family dolls? Let me know in the comments!

Our next series is going to be really fun and does feature some Barbie goodness. Stay tuned!

Playtime!

Did everyone have a great thanksgiving? I sure did! Just got all our Christmas lights up today, it's just around the corner!

One of the fun things about playing with Barbie as a child is the amazing world of make-believe. Barbie can wear anything, do anything, and have anything. She can be a mermaid, princess, rocker, movie star, dancer, or singer. Some of the more recent include the president, fashion designer, veternarian, and doctor. One of my favourite make-believe scenarios was to have a huge Barbie slumber party! So naturally this playset became my most loved and played with Barbie accessory.

The Fashion Doll Bedroom Case was the storage for both my Margie and Sandi dolls and they were always dressed in PJ's. (unless it was time for them to go on a date with Ken or out to the ball!) It is similar to a girl's college dorm bedroom and has TONS of stuff for Barbie!

Look at all this goodness!
Let's check out what Barbie can do in her new bedroom. First she has a large assortment of beauty products such as bath oil, hair spray, shampoo, suntan lotion and a hairbrush.

IMG_8012

She also has some powder and of course, a phone and mini TV.

IMG_8013

And another hairbrush and some tissues.

IMG_8014

Here are some of the other things that Barbie can do in her super stellar bedroom. We have some accessories such as necklaces, purses, and belts. A curling iron for the perfect hairstyle, a skateboard, ping pong paddles, hand weights, perfume, visors, shoes, and a little white thing on the left edge of the bed.

IMG_8015

It's Barbie's Kitty Cat!

IMG_8016

We have even MORE things to do! A walkman, binoculars, hairbands, sunglasses, watches, a hair dryer, mirrors, brushes and combs, hair picks, a purse, camera, frisbee, curlers, and more shoes.

IMG_8017

Here to enjoy the bedroom is the lovely Hannah Montana Secret Star Sleep Over doll and the awesome doll wearing the Bedtime Barbie fashion. They are enjoying their new room.

IMG_8018

They had to try out the accessories. For the Bedtime Barbie, the star hair picks.

IMG_8021

And for Hannah, the hair band.

IMG_8022

And a bedroom wouldn't be a bedroom if it didn't have a closet FULL of clothes!

IMG_8023

There is just one more thing that Barbie can do in her new bedroom. Go snorkeling! Here is the lovely Princess Merliah from Barbie in A Mermaid's Tale to demonstrate.

IMG_8024

She is ready for the water.

IMG_8025

I chose her because the flippers stay on better with those dolls that have the huge beach feet!

IMG_8026

So there is Barbie's super fabulous bedroom, perfect for playtime and make-believe!

Also, my mom bought me a doll! She has always got me the Halloween Barbies so here is the one from this year. The Halloween Haunt Doll.

IMG_8029

I love her spider web dress and pink streaked hair. One thing that bugged me is that they gave her a cardboard broom. If she's a witch she needs an authentic broom. But that's just me. ;)

IMG_8032

But I still love her. Of all the holiday dolls, the Halloween dolls come a close second to the Christmas dolls.

So there is the fun post for today! I love playtime, don't you? Bring back memories? I hope so!

UP AND COMING TO THE BARBIE BLOG:

Starting December 1st, I am going to put together a mini-series. A new post and a new doll every day! It's going to be so fun, I can't wait! Just 6 more days till the first one. I hope I'll see you back.

~Barbie's bedroom is WAY cooler than my college dorm bedroom ever was!~

Barbie Slumber Party!

Sorry for the delay in posting. Life has been a little crazy. I'm sure you all know how that goes. But I am finally here and ready to post up more Barbie goodness!

You're invited to a slumber party!

I love this little display. I added the Hannah Montana Secret Star Sleep Over doll and I decided to dress a doll up in the Barbie Slumber Party Fashion. But who is she?

The fuzzy slippers are so cute.

Also meet Bedtime Barbie from 1995. I got her when I was little.

She is still in really good condition. She has a soft body so you could sleep with her but I never did. That is because she has her own bed.

The Barbie Starlight Bed. Anyone remember this? I wanted it so bad and was so excited when I got it for Christmas one year. It was only for the Bedtime Barbie.

She too has cute fuzzy slippers. Love them!

Time for my weekly thrift store goodies. Not much this week!

A small wedge boot

A sparkly purple and teal skirt.

A red sequined top. I think this is the top for the Hannah Montana Holiday Pop Star doll.

Silver harem pants.

And...a doll!

She is definitely not Skipper but maybe Stacie? I do have to tell you that there were A TON of Kelly dolls in the mix. I would have taken them but I don't have ANY clothes for them! I'm having a hard enough time getting clothes for my poor Skipper dolls and now Miss Stacie (?) needs some too. I guess it's time to get out the sewing machine. :)

I took a lot of time last weekend washing doll hair. Here is how they turned out! All are very nice!

Generation Girl Tori. I can't get her nose clean. But her hair looks good and I dressed her in kind of a beach outfit with the blue myscene shorts I got last week.

Spot Scene Barbie. My mom got her for me and her lipstick was almost completely worn off. I tried to color in her lips a little with a marker. It looks better in person. But her teeth are not white so I think it makes it look a little funny.

And now Spot Scene Teresa. Dressed her in the gold shirt I got last week and these sparkle jeans I found this week at the thrift store. Added some white pumps.

Flower Power Teresa's hair turned out beautiful. I dressed her in a pretty pink Genuine Barbie 90's fashion.

I gave her some pink square toe pumps.

Isn't this the cutest? One of the purses that was included with my Day to Night Barbie goodies from eBay.

Sophie turned out gorgeous.

Her hair is so soft and silky. Love her!

I have determined that this is the real "Barbie Loves Buzz" doll. Because her hair definitely goes in the direction of a side ponytail. Too bad the pretty long hair has been cut. But I dressed her in this shiny Fashionista dress.

Added some silver open toe heels.

I decided to make this ballerina Barbie into a beautiful ice skater. I still need to do her hair.

I think the outfit fits her quite well. She doesn't quite have enough on the top to fill it out because she is a newer Barbie but I think it looks okay.

Love the blue ice skates.

I dressed Drew in the Candy Glam outfit.

And then here is Ken.

So now all my dolls have been dressed. I have some in a box that I haven't done anything with yet so maybe I can get them out and post them up here this weekend.

And yes, if anyone can let me know if she is a Stacie it would be much appreciated!!
