By now I was convinced that I was getting a Happy Holidays Barbie every year. For my mom and I, it was getting more and more exciting to see the dresses they came up with each holiday season. This one was one of my favourites.
Oh the jewels! I've always been a silver fan so this one really hit my fancy.
The earrings match the dangles on her dress! She's even got a little sparkle in her eye.
This is another doll that never ever changed clothes. Like one the Happy Holidays Barbie from the previous year, she was always at the "party" because of the dress. One of my favourite features from the dress is the glitter on the sides of the skirt.
And again, love the big hair. So pretty.
The back of the box reads: A holiday fantasy in sparkling "crystal" and "silver"! They got that right for sure!
Warning: another full dress/hair photo! I think I tried to get her sleeves to poof like that but they never did. Oh well, she was still just as beautiful at the party as all the other dolls. :) I do have to add that I love the long waist of the dress! It's so elegant looking.
See you tomorrow!

So lovely! I've always been a sucker for a great ball gown.
Love that dress. Drop waist dresses are always elegant.
I think the poofy sleeves on the box pic were enhanced by stuffing crumpled tissue paper into them. Most of the dolls have tissue paper under their long skirts to make them look fuller in the box.
Ah yes, tissue in the sleeves. I don't know why I didn't think of that. When I got my 1994 Birthday Barbie, she had tissue in her dress and I always kept it there for shape. Now I wish I would have done that before I permanently reboxed her.
I know you love ball gowns, I knew you would love this one! :D
